He has published 4 student books and 7 international books targeting poultry production, nutritional and husbandry for undergraduate and postgraduate students and three books in poultry Science. He has supervised in many Master and PhD students. In addition, he has recognized in reviewer in about 20 ISI journals and funding body for local and international scientific organization. Professor Attia has attend about 30 national and international conference and congress, workshops. He also had international collaboration with different Animal and Poultry Science Departments worldwide such as University of Georgia, Napoli University, Technical University of Muchen, Faculdade de Medicina Veterinária, Universidade de Rio Verde, Campus Universitário, Rio Verde, Goiás, Brazil, Firat University, Turkey and many others, American University in Biuret, United Arab Emirates University and many others.
Agricultural Science, Poultry Science, Production, Husbandry and Nutrition as well as Production, Husbandry and Nutrition of rabbits.
Dr. Aqeel Ahmad is a Principal Investigator in the field of Bioactive Compounds and Plant Sciences. He earned his doctoral degree (Ph.D.) from the University of the Punjab, Lahore, Pakistan, and performed his research work at the University of Florida, USA. Then, he joined the Institute of Medicinal Plants, Huazhong Agricultural University as a postdoctoral Fellow, and now he is serving at Guangdong Academy of Agricultural Sciences, Guangzhou, China. He extensively studied plant metabolism and its driving factors, i.e., hormones, PR proteins, and biochemicals. His core skills are proteomics (profiling, characterization, and supramolecular kinetics) and metabolomics, using which he elucidated cell signaling behind diverse physiological responses. Recently, Aqeel Ahmad’s research has unveiled bioactive compounds from plants and microbes to attain a new balance in cell metabolism. He is developing techniques for the biofortification of edible plants by reharmonizing their osmoregulatory systems, oxidative machinery, and physiological responses.
Dr. Aqeel Ahmad's research interests are Plant metabolites and Bioactive compounds.
